Connect your own Google account
Link your Google account so you can open and edit company Google documents in Veridox.
For: Everyone · Category: Documents & notices
When your company uses Google Docs in Veridox, connect your own Google account once. It tells Veridox which Google account should get access to the company documents you are allowed to open. Veridox only sees the Google files it creates or opens for you. It cannot see the rest of your Google Drive.
Steps
- Open My apps - Open My apps and choose the Google Docs card. You can also use the link "Connect your Google account to edit company documents" in Docs or on a document.
- Read the note and continue - Veridox explains what it can see. Choose "Continue to Google".
- Sign in on Google's own page - Google's page opens in your browser, outside Veridox. Choose your account, tick the Google Drive box and choose Allow. Veridox never asks for your Google password.
- You are connected - Back in Veridox the card shows "Connected as" and your Google address. You can now open and edit the company Google documents you are allowed to edit.
Tips
- If your company allows work accounts only, Veridox shows which domain to use. Connect your work Google account at that address.
- If Google says Veridox did not get access to Drive, connect again and tick the Drive box on Google's screen.
- If the card says your Google connection stopped working, choose "Reconnect Google".
- To disconnect, open My apps -> Google Docs -> Disconnect Google. Files in your own Google Drive stay there.
- You can also remove Veridox from your Google account at myaccount.google.com/permissions. Veridox then asks you to connect again.
- When you leave the company, Veridox disconnects your Google account from it and the Google access it gave you ends.
