Request permission to work off-site

Get an approved off-site permit so you are not marked late or absent.

For: Employees · Category: Time & attendance

Working away from the office for a stretch - from home, a client site, another city? Request an off-site work permit right from the clock-in page. Once your line manager approves it, the attendance engine treats those days as exempt: no late notices, no absent marks.

Steps

  1. Open Time tracking - Choose the Time item in your sidebar and find the "Working off-site?" section.
  2. Request a permit - Enter where you will be working from and the start and end dates, then submit.
  3. Your manager approves - The request goes through the normal approval flow. You are notified of the decision, and your current permits are listed on the same page.
  4. Work covered - On days covered by an active permit you are exempt from lateness tracking. Managers can see (and revoke) permits from your profile.

Tips

  • A permit is for planned stretches; a one-off off-site clock-in still just needs the quick reason at clock-in.
  • Approved leave and company holidays exempt you automatically - no permit needed.
